As there is awareness of beingness, all phenomena of mind, body and world are experienced as living forms of this, and the sacredness of everything is revealed. No state of the mind or body can serve as evidence of this being. It is the primal knowing of being beyond all mental phenomena. Its presence defies conceptual definition.
In the freedom of not knowing what we are, only that we are, life unfolds, liberated from the cloud of defensive, neurotic thoughts and limiting beliefs based on perceiving ourselves as a subject surrounded by separate objects. The mind is freed from a limiting biographical personhood that paints a life of tragic, lonely separateness, searching vainly for what has been lost and trying to satiate itself with more and more transient experiences. In this unburdened presence, no longer shaped by the need to protect or perform a self, innocence is not something to reclaim, but what remains when all else falls away.
The portal of the mind and body is itself an appearance of being; its pattern of energy and needs part of an integrated, inextricably linked web of minds and bodies. Its very nature is a neotenous reflection of this quality of innocence, not as naivety, but as the open and undefended quality of non-resistance to life. It is the freshness of each moment unfiltered by the rigidity of knowing what we are or the residue of past experience. In this, innocence is not ignorance of pain, but the transparency of beingness that meets life without clinging to history or projection.
As if we are lovers having fallen in love, authentic, playful innocence arises, free of fear and defensiveness, to express itself in joyful liberation through the mind and body, not for another person but for its own beingness that is miraculously everything. This is love that no longer seeks completion in another, but flows from its own fullness; love without need, radiant and unguarded. The natural song of being when it is no longer caught in the illusion of separation.
With Love,
