Just Stop And Feel The Real YOU!
Let go of any noise in the mind and any need to do this or that which your mind is compelling you to do as if you are just a puppet on its string. Let go of its comparing and contrasting and fixing and solving and controlling energy.
For a moment, if you can, step out of the noise in your mind into your "big self" – your existential being – your true nature, the reality that is YOU, not the unfolding movie in your head that pretends to be you. How? By recognising it and understanding it is the real YOU - not what your mind shows like a frantic soap opera.
Understand this real YOU is there. It's not gone anywhere. This real YOU does not take any form, but it is there nonetheless. It is this undefinable silent reality that is always safe, always whole, to which you can return in an instant and from which you can guide your daily life and imbue it with love.
Your mind is full of fear or the sense that something is lacking, showing up as unpleasant feelings, thoughts that compare yourself to others, frantically trying to search for the event that was the reason all this suffering is happening, or frantically trying to imagine a scenario where it will all be gone.
Your mind is like a frantic child looking for its calm parent.
Stop and remind yourself you are the mind's parent. It doesn't have to create wholeness and safety. It just needs to bask in YOUR safety and wholeness. It doesn't need to overthink, strategise, calculate, manipulate, control, desire this or that and cling onto this or that. The mind cannot solve its own lack of wholeness by trying to organise life to feel safe. It is beyond its capacity to be whole. The very nature of the mind is fragmentation. It is designed for contrasting, comparing, organising and solving, not to feel whole. If you are living in your mind, it and its sister, the body will feel unsafe.
Stop and remind yourself you are the mind's parent. You are the infinite heart, the safe space of the mind. Always whole, always safe. Out of this story. YOU are the existential, real, invisible being. It's there – can't you feel it? Do you not feel you are real? Just see this sense of realness is the reality that IS your being. Be the real YOU. Give space and time to being the real YOU. Please don't listen to the mind that wants you to do what IT is telling you. It doesn't know.
Once you are the real YOU, then the children of the mind and body will be calm and decontracted. Whatever went before and whatever the mind imagined would be happening in the future doesn't matter, for reality is NOW. The future and past are just dreams. In this NOW, there is the REAL YOU. And by connecting to the real you, your heart, soul, infinite reality, you are SAFE. Utterly safe. What happens next is seen in its correct light as an expression of this safety. Not an attempt to find safety.
Then, your actions can be free of fear. Free of searching for safety. Free of that awful sense, something is wrong with you that needs to be fixed. You will be free of guilt for past mistakes as you realise it was just life happening, not a person making mistakes. You will be free of the shame of being an inadequate person because there is no person. You will be free of the rage that life is not fair to you because YOU ARE LIFE. You will be free of depending on circumstances for your happiness as if they were ever safe in reality. You will be free to love, to see the beauty in everything. And with these qualities shining, thoughts will arise that express this. If your body and mind had previously been full of contracted energy, they will relax once they know their parent is home.
Just stop and feel the real you.
Even a minute of being the real YOU is worth a thousand living in the mind as if that were you.
