There is reality. The universe is not a dream of the human mind. This reality can be recognised as something underlying all that appears in the universe, as it is conscious of itself.
Reality (true aware nature) is at one with (recognises) itself all the time. How could it be anything other than this?
Only in some minds' there is the embodied belief of being an object that takes this recognition and reduces it to being a separate person in a world of separate material objects.
Even in these minds, the recognition of true aware nature is never entirely lost, but the meaning is imposed on it due to the belief that being a person means that this true aware nature is also personal.
In other words, until this belief is uprooted through inquiry into the nature of what we are, these minds understand true aware nature as if it were personal, overlook its significance, and are not willing to open to the possibility that this true aware nature is the conscious reality of all minds. These minds are stumbling over gold on their path as if it were just ordinary pebbles.
Until this belief is uprooted, the tendency is to attend to the content of thoughts as if their metaphorical content represented reality. Therefore, we may interpret reality by the contents of a mental story, and the plot lines are time and space. This story imposes a meaning on bodily sensations as if there were the localised material self. Such thoughts are always about a person in some way and always insight a sense of lack and fear.
What some minds call awakening is simply the parting of the clouds of the belief to be a separate personal self and all the feelings and perceptions that go with this so that they can understand that what they were recognising all along is the reality of all minds, not just the one they are immediately aware of. This is the case because when we recognise we are what is aware of reading these words, we cannot know this awareness is a separate reality.
This reality is everywhere and nowhere and cannot be recognised by the mind, which is only a filter mechanism that knows things metaphorically.
As the clouds part, the oneness (recognition) of reality with itself naturally shines, as it always shines. This shining is the essential aliveness of our life. It is the life-force energy of existence.
Once the sun of reality recognises itself, a new dynamic occurs, whereby the mind is liberated from having to attend to thoughts that only represent reality as if they were the master.
Free of this attendance to thought does not mean thought does not occur or that we never attend to thoughts at all. Just that we are not under the illusion that if these thoughts imply in any way, shape, or form that we are a separate reality, we can choose not to attend to these thoughts as we understand they are a result of a belief about reality, not the direct experience of reality itself.
Free of the attendance to the thought that space-time the self - personalising existence and recognising everything is the reality, we enter naturally a state of peace which is a peace that is life-affirming - a "force" if you will - of life-affirming qualities of courageous love. This life-affirming quality of reality is our true nature.
From here, quite naturally, the mind stops seeking security in objects after a while and then settles into its true secure home, resting. Thus, it continues to be a vehicle of thoughts that increasingly express the deepest desire of reality, which is to love itself in all its forms and to perceive the beauty of these forms.

Very powerful and one of the best expressions of the only Reality that counts. Thank you.
