Who Is Asking Anyway?
Who is pointing, inquiring, or practising?
Pointing, inquiring, and practising are simply thoughts that arise effortlessly from beingness and vanish just as soon as they appear.
When this is clearly recognised, it becomes evident that there has never been a pointer, questioner, or practitioner.
There is no one who needs to apply effort to understand what is being pointed to, inquired about, or practised—except for the thought that suggests there might be such a person who has to apply effort, which is simply another thought.
What effort could possibly be required to rest effortlessly as the ever-present source from which all these thoughts spontaneously appear and disappear, and be the presence that they appear and disappear from and to?
Are you not whatever is present before, during and after such thoughts occur?
Once it is deeply understood that such thoughts are merely appearances of beingness, what further questions, pointers, or practices could possibly remain?
